Greetings regional writers and readers, and welcome to our community blog. Now that you're here, why not have a look around.
In the left hand column, under the Community Blogging Project heading, you'll find a list of categories. By clicking on the links, you'll be taken to all the stories in each category. Beneath that you'll see our blog roll. This is a list of local writers who have their own sites. If you would like to add your own blog to the list, simply add a comment to any post and let us know your URL.
There is also a list of links to local resources for writers and readers; book clubs, library services, bookshops, writers groups etc. If you'd like to add your group to this links list, again, post a comment and we'll add your link. For now, the site is moderated, but once it's launched, it will become your site.
The Regional Writes Community Blogging Project was funded by an Arts Queensland Development and Presentation Grant, RADF and Sunshine Coast Regional Council Learning Communities.
The project was part of the Cooroy Library Writer in Residence Programme to mark the opening of the new Q150 and council funded library building on the Mill Place Site in Cooroy.
Local author Annette Hughes was Writer-in-Residence from 5th September - 20 December, providing skills development workshops, community access sessions for local writers.
This site is intended to create a virtual as well as physical writing community with the Learning Centre at its hub.
That was great - I'll read again and again. Thanks for the links.
